REPLACING FRONT DOOR Read "Introduction"! Unscrew cover metal screw and remove cover. Unscrew armrest (1). |  |
Lift cover (2) off of inner door handle. Unscrew screw (3) and remove inner door handle (4) with escutcheon (5). Important: Note installed position (inner door handle almost horizontal). |  |
Lift cover (6) off of window winder. Unscrew screw (7) and remove window winder (8) and escutcheon (9). Installation: Note window winder position (faces forward at a rising inclination). |  |
Remove door trim. Installation: Replace damaged door trim clips or sockets. Large coil of spring (10) faces trim. |  |
Unscrew door sill mounting screws and mirror adjusting switch nut. Remove door sill. Installation: Replace damaged door trim clips or sockets. |  |
Pull off Acella plastic sheet. Installation: Install Acella plastic sheet with Teroson 2012 adhesive. Replace torn Acella plastic sheet. |  |
Unscrew window regulator mounting screws. |  |
Position window regulator with window winder so that it can be taken out of the guide. Remove window regulator from below. Installation: Lubricate guide. |  |
Unscrew cover mounting screw and remove cover. |  |
Unscrew exterior mirror mounting screws. |  |
Take off exterior mirror and disconnect plugs. |  |
Detach rubber seal and unscrew mounting screw. |  |
Knock strip upward with a wooden wedge or similar item. |  |
Detach inner strip. |  |
Remove window recess seal. Installation: Soft side of window recess seal faces window. |  |
Take window glass pane off of window guide. Detach window regulator sliding rail at door window. |  |
Remove door window glass pane from above. |  |
Remove both window guide rails. Installation: Adjust the rails that door window glass moves easily and when closed rests against rubber seal firmly. |  |
Disconnect wires at exterior mirror operating switch. Installation: Connect wires according to color wiring diagram. Take wires out of harness clip. Pull wires with rubber grommet out of door. |  |
Remove front window guide. Unscrew bolt. Installation: Adjust window guide with counterscrew that door window glass runs easily. |  |
Remove door lock remote controls and leave linkage connected to door lock. |  |
Remove door lock. Installation: Guide in door catch button with linkage. Note installed position of door handle operating tab. Lift out operating rod. |  |
Lift out door handle counterweight clip and pull out counterweight to the side. Important: Lift clip from behind somewhat. |  |
Detach drive lever at door handle. |  |
Unscrew door handle mounting screw and take clip off of lock cylinder. Remove door handle and lock cylinder. |  |
Drill off rivet at bottom of door retainer and remove. Unscrew mounting screws and remove door retainer. |  |
Take off cover and unscrew buffer strip mounting screw. |  |
Remove buffer strip. Installation: Replace damaged clips or sockets. |  |

Remove door hinge rubber seals. |  |
Remove door rubber seal. Transfer all plastic or metal nuts and sockets. Replace damaged parts. |  |
Vehicles after change point in 1982 REPLACING LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT DOOR Perform following jobs in given order. Installation in reverse order. Unscrew door hinge bolts and remove door. | |
Remove rubber seals for door hinges. | |
Remove rubber seal of door. Transfer all plastic and metal nuts and bushings. Replace damaged parts. | |
