Vehicles before change point in 1982 REMOVING AND INSTALLING TRAILING ARM Remove and install rear wheel 36 10 300. Remove and install parking brake lever 34 41 000. Remove and install primary and final mufflers 18 12 000. Draw off brake fluid through brake fluid tank with a syringe reserved for this purpose. Detach output shaft. For right trailing arm disconnect wires for pad wear indicator and take wires out of wire clip. Support body. Pull parking brake cable out of protective tube. Detach stabilizer and spring strut absorber at trailing arm. Disconnect brake line at brake hose. Detach trailing arm at rear axle carrier. Installation: Tighten bolts with car in normal position¹). Remove and install parking brake lever 34 41 000. Draw off brake fluid through tank with a syringe used exclusively with brake fluid. Remove float housing for this purpose. Installation: Add brake fluid* and bleed brakes. 34 41 000 * See Specifications

Detach trailing arm at rear axle carrier. Installation: First insert bolt on inner bracket. Important! Tighten bolts with loaded wheels (car lowered). Tightening torque*. * See Specifications

Detach spring strut and take off trailing arm. Important! Tighten mounting bolts with loaded wheels (car lowered). Tightening torque*. * See Specifications
