REMOVING AND INSTALLING SELECTOR LEVER WITH BASE
Take off lock.
Detach selector rod.
Installation: Adjust selector rod 24 00 004.

Remove ashtray and right brush cover.

Unscrew selector lever mask mounting screws.

Disconnect wire plugs at window control switches
and plug for ashtray light.
Remove mask.

Disconnect plugs for transmission switch.
Unscrew base mounting bolts and remove base.

Installation: Watch sealing plate (A).

WITH BASE
- Version with Shift Rod -
Remove center console 51 16 200.
Lift out retainer.
Disengage shift rod.
Installation:
Adjust shift rod 24 00 004.

Disconnect plug (2).
Remove bolts (3).
Remove base.

Installation:
Insert insulator (4).
