Installation: Check torque converter for leaks with Special Tool 24 4 041 used in conjunction with Special Tools 24 4 043 adn 24 2 062. Test pressure is 0.5 bar (7 psi). Important: Use retainer to prevent injuries. | |
If converter shaft bearing surface is damaged, replace torque converter. | |
If stator (L) or turbine (T) can´t be turned by hand, replace torque converter. | |
Guide openings of torque converter into primary pump by turning carefully with Special Tool 24 4 000. Important: Be careful that converter bearings and seals are not damaged while installing. Converter is installed correctly, if drive dogs (A) are about 9 mm (0.354´´) below edge of case. |
