Vehicles before change point in 1982
REPLACING ACCELERATOR CABLE
Disconnect accelerator cable and detach it at
holder.

Remove oil pan 24 11 000.
Move selector lever to O or N.
Press accelerator cam forward and disconnect
cable at accelerator cam.

Press accelerator cable out of case upward.

Press new accelerator cable in case until retaining
tabs engage.
Attach nipple on accelerator cam.
Place Special Tool 24 3 050 between valve body
case and throttle pressure valve.
Push accelerator cam against throttle pressure
valve.

Fasten accelerator cable on suspension and
holder (1).
Tighten cable.
Squeeze seal on cable tight at distance (A) =
0.25 to 0.75 mm (0.010 to 0.030´´).
Adjust accelerator cable 24 00 004.

CABLE
Unscrew nut (1).
Disconnect accelerator cable.

Remove oil pan 24 11 000.
Move selector lever to N.
Push accelerator cam forward and disconnect
cable at accelerator cam.

Push accelerator cable out of case upward.

Push new accelerator cable into case until
retaining tabs engage.
Connect nipple on accelerator cam.
Apply Special Tool 24 3 050 between valve
body housing and throttle pressure valve.
Push accelerator cam against throttle pressure
valve.

Mount accelerator cable to suspension on
transmission and on holder (1).
Tighten cable.
Squeeze loose seal on cable with a distance (A)
of 0.25 to 0.50 mm (0.010 to 0.020´´).
Adjust accelerator cable 24 00 004.
