REPLACING TELESCOPE FOR AUTOMATIC ANTENNA The automatic antenna remains in car when replacing the telescope. Telescope is replaced together with the plastic core.
Turn on radio to run out telescope as far as possible. Unscrew threaded bushing.
Remove telescope and plastic core. This requires pulling out firmly, especially when for example a bent telescope was not run out completely.
Push the straight, pointed plastic wire end of a new telescope into the antenna adapter until resistance of the contact pressure roller is felt.
Turn off radio to run in antenna. Push in wire briefly until it is taken in by the drive automatically; guiding in the plastic core and telescope by hand.
Screw in threaded bushing tight and run telescope in and out several times.

Turn on radio to run out telescope as far as possible. Unscrew threaded sleeve.
Remove telescope and plastic cable. This requires firm pulling, especially if, for example, a bent telescope cannot be run out fully.
Slide straightened, pointed plastic end of new telescope into antenna adapter until resistance is felt on the contact roller.
Turn off radio to run in the antenna. Push in cable slightly until it is pulled in automatically by the drive. Guide in plastic cable and telescope by hand at same time.
Screw in threaded sleeve tight and run telescope out and in several times.
