INSTALLING RETRACTABLE
ANTENNA AT REAR OF CAR
Remove trim panel (1).
Take jack and wheel bolt wrench out of car.

Use tape in area of hole to avoid damaging the paint finish with burrs from
drilling and to provide a better method of marking the location of the hole.
Mark location of hole.
Distance 1 = 57,5 mm (2.264")
Distance 2 = 19 mm (0.748")

Punch mark point of intersection and drill a 22 mm (0.866") dia, hole.
Note:
After marking hole, pull off tape carefully toward hole to avoid taking off paint
on edges of hole.
Deburr hole and coat edges with zinc dust paint.
Remove burrs on trunk floor plate - danger of producing rust.

Install antenna.
Installed Order:
1 Nut
2 Adapter
3 Insulator
4 Rear left side panel
5 Seal
6 Brass ring
7 Antenna
Note:
Only screw on nut (1) finger tight.

Place rubber grommet (1) in holder (2).
Mount holder (2) with M 6 x 12 screw, spring washer and nut.

Tighten nut with supplied wrench.

Unscrew bolts on left rear seat.
Take rear seat out of car.

Unscrew bolts.
Remove entrance strip.
Disconnect carpet on door entrance.

Unscrew screws and place trim panel in footwell.
Note:
Wiring and hose remain connected on the passenger compartment
temperature sensor.

Route antenna lead along standard wire harnesses from radio installation point
to antenna installation point.
Routing Layout Explanations:
1 = Antenna
2 = Radio antenna jack

Connect antenna lead.

Plug antenna lead (1) in jack of radio.
Install all removed parts.
