REPLACING REAR SIDE WINDOW
Disconnect minus lead at battery.
Remove and install rear side trim - 51 43 000.
Unscrew screws and remove door pillar plate.
Unscrew front and rear screws for rear sill.
Remove rear sill.

Detach rear side window at window regulator.

Pull up rear side window out of regulator.
Installation: Install rubber mount between
rear side window and lifting rails.

Remove window recess seal strip and pull
off seal.

Pull off door seal partially and remove outer
door pillar plate.
Installation: Lips of rubber door seal must be
located behind door pillar plate.

Detach center door pillar rear window guide
and lift out rear side window glass.

REPLACING REAR SIDE WINDOW
Unscrew bolts and remove rear seat.

Lift out window control switch and pull off
plug.
Installation:
Install switch that rear side window runs in
direction operated.

Unscrew bolts and remove side trim panel.

Cars without Grab Handle:
Pull off plate.
Unscrew bolts.

Cars with Grab Handle:
Pull off cap.
Unscrew bolt.

Unscrew bottom bolts.
Lift off trim and let it hang down from seat
belt.

Unscrew shoulder plate screws at front and rear.
Remove shoulder plate.

Detach strip for window recess seal and pull
off seal.

Pull off rubber door seal partially and detach
plate for door pillar on outside.
Installation:
Lip of rubber door seal must be underneath
plate for door pillar.

Pull off rubber part for window guide.
Detach window guide on door pillar.

Lift off outer window recess seal with plate.

Installation:
Connect plate with sleeve at rear.

Detach rear side window glass on window
regulator.

Pull rear side window out of window regulator
upward.
Installation:
Insert rubber mount between rear side window
and lifting rail.

Pull out rear side window glass from above.
