REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR COIL SPRING
Remove and install centering shell for rear
spring strut absorber - 33 52 200.
Remove coil spring.

Installation: Make sure that ends of coil
spring are located in openings provided for
this purpose in centering shell and lower
spring retainer.

When Replacing:
Color code (A)¹), spring length (B)¹) and
wire gage diameter (C)¹) must be same on
left and right sides.

Important: Check upper spring liner,
replacing if necessary.
Spring liners with no. 1 117 504 are for
coil springs with green or no color code.
Spring liners with no. 1 117 671 are for
coil springs with red color code.

Installation: Upper and lower spring liners
with no. 1 117 504, distance A = 16.5 mm
(0.650´´), are for coil springs with green or no
color code.
Lower spring liners with no. 1 117 504,
distance A = 16.5 mm (0.650´´), and upper
spring liners with no. 1 117 671, distance
A = 21.5 mm (0.846´´), are for coil springs
with red color code.

Installation: Knurled head bolts in openings
of spring liner.
