REPLACING STEERING COLUMN CASING UPPER SECTION
Remove and install steering column 32 31 090.
Remove screw.
Installation: Replace self-locking nut.
Tightening torque¹).

Loosen screws.
Remove shear-off screws with a chisel or similar
tool.
Installation: Replace self-locking nuts.

Unscrew nuts (1 and 2) and remove arms (3
and 4).
Installation: Replace self-locking nuts.
Tightening torque¹).

Press out rubber bearings (1 and 2).
Installation: Coat rubber bearings with
polyglycole or glycerine.

Unscrew headless stud completely and remove
shear-off screw (3) with a chisel or similar tool.

Remove plate (4) and take out steering lock.
