CHECKING REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT OPTICALLY
Accurate axle alignment requires fulfillment of
the following points.
1. Good uniform tire treads.
2. Specified tire pressures.
3. Wheel rims in good condition.
4. Specified wheel bearing play.
5. Car brought to normal load position¹).
Determine actual values with optical equipment.
Fill in test sheet.

Requirements prior to checking wheel alignment:
1. Good, uniform tire treads
2. Specified tire inflation pressure**
3. Wheel rims in perfect condition*
4. Specified wheel bearing play*
5. Car brought to normal position*
6. Specified height level*
Check actual values with an optical tester.
Fill in test sheet.

WHEEL ALIGNMENT
1 = Toe
2 = Camber
3 = Caster (with 10° or 20° wheel lock)
4 = Toe difference angle (with 20° wheel lock)
5 = Wheel offset
6 = Camber
7 = Rear wheel position
8 = Toe
9 = Geometrical axis
