REPLACING FUEL INJECTORS
A) BMW 630 i:
Remove fuel ring line.
Disconnect wire plugs.
Important: Don´t pull on wires.
Loosen clamp.
Pull valve off of ring line.
Installation: Connector on valve faces up.

2 Rubber ring
3 Insulator
4 Insulator
5 Washer
6 Bolt

B) BMW 633 i:
Pull off plugs (1 ... 6) on fuel injectors.
Unscrew coupling (7) on pressure regulator.
Detach return line (8).

Unscrew mounting bolts (9) on fuel injectors.
Position of Installed Parts:
10 Rubber ring (round side faces intake)
11 Insulator
12 Rubber ring
13 Insulator
14 Shim

Remove injection tube with fuel injectors.

Cut open hose sleeve (15) with a side snippers
and remove.

Burn off hose with a soldering iron.

Transfer rubber ring (16) and holder (17) with
circlip (18) from old valve.
Collar on rubber ring (16) faces injection tube.
Clean adapter and coat inside of hose with gasoline.
Push fuel injector with hose sleeve (15) on to
injection tube against stop.
Note installed position of plug.

Vehicles after change point in 1982
REPLACING ONE FUEL INJECTOR
Unscrew four bolts on the injection tube.
Installation:
Mount the ground lead with bolt (1).

Push up injection tube (1) until the fuel
injectors have cleared the guide in the
intake manifold.

Pull off plug (1).
Lift out retainer (2) and take off the fuel
injector.

Installation:
Check O-rings (1), replacing if necessary.
Check code number (2)*.
FD = Manufacturing date.
Check position of plastic washer (3).
Check color* of plug receptacle (5) or
injector guard (4).
Only coat O-rings with vaseline or SAE 90/
SAE 80 gear lube.
