Vehicles after change point in 1982
REMOVING AND INSTALLING AIR FLOW SENSOR
Unscrew nut (1).
Loosen hose clamp (2).
Pull off plug (3).
Take off air cleaner with air flow sensor.

Check rubber mounts, replacing if necessary.

Open both fasteners.
Take out air filter cartridge.
Installation:
Check installed position of air filter cartridge
(arrows point in air flow direction).

Unscrew screws (1) and take off the air flow
sensor.
Check gasket between air cleaner housing and
air flow sensor, replacing if necessary.
Installation:
Install screws with a liquid bolt cement,
HWB No. 81 22 9 400 086.

Checking:
Installation:
Check code number (1)* and manufacturing
date (2)*.
Check engine idle speed* and idle speed CO
level*.
Check air flow sensor*.
