REPLACING OPERATING AND THROTTLE LEVERS
A) BMW 630 i:
Detach return springs and accelerator linkage.
Remove lock (1).
Remove corrugated washer (2) and operating
lever (3) with plastic bushings.

Loosen nut (4) on mounting bolt (5).
Pull throttle lever (6) off of shaft.
Installation: Attach throttle lever (6) and operating
lever (3).
Leave mounting bolt (5) loose.

Loosen nut (7) and back off stop screw (8).
Press throttle plate shut.
Tighten bolt (8) so much, that there is play (A)
of at least 1 mm (0.040´´) between roller (9) and
end of gate on throttle lever (6).
Tighten nut (4) on mounting bolt (5).
Tighten stop screw (8) by one turn and then
tighten nut (7) fully.
Lubricate roller and slideway with Longterm 2.
Adjust throttle switch 13 63 544.
Adjust engine idle speed 13 00 054.
