Vehicles after change point in 1982
(Only Cars with Air Conditioner)
To prevent the flowing in of unconditioned outside air when the air conditioner is
switched on, the fresh air flap has to be closed. This happens automatically via a
control unit and drive motor for the fresh air flap when switching on the air conditioner
in cars since 10/85 models.
The control unit and drive motor replace the cable used previously.
The position of the fresh air flap in controlled with a sliding control lever as in the past
when the air conditioner is not switched on. A signal for the desired position is sent
from the sliding control lever to the control unit, which in turn activates the drive
motor unit the wanted position is reached.
