REMOVING AND INSTALLING HEATER MOTOR Disconnect minus lead at battery. Loosen left and right screws (1 and 2). Unscrew front screws and remove heater blower cover. | ![]() |
Open fasteners. Remove housing upper sections and inlet frames. | ![]() |
Installation: Flat surface on outside of inlet frame faces down. | ![]() |
Lift out motor with blower wheels. Disconnect wires. Important: Never take blower wheels off of motor shaft, since the assembly is balanced together. Only replace motor with blower wheels. Installation: Turn motor until it engages in lock. | ![]() |

Push back retaining tabs (3) and remove blower shells (1 and 2). | ![]() |

Pull off plug. Disconnect retaining strap. Remove motor with fan. | ![]() |
Installation: Positioning of blower motor is given by shape of housing. Check code number*. Check armature axial play*. Important! Do not take fan off of motor shaft or turn on shaft, since motor was balanced with fan as an assembly. ![]() | ![]() |
