REMOVING AND INSTALLING INSTRUMENT CARRIER
Remove and install steering wheel 32 33 000.
Remove and install instrument panel trim at
bottom left 51 45 180.
Disconnect ground wire at battery.
Remove plate from check control.

Remove printed circiut board.
Wires remain connected.

Remove light switch.
Wires remain connected.
Pull off switch light from behind.
Installation: Insert switch in arrest.

Pull knob off of left fresh air control and lift
off cover.

Remove fog light switch.
Wires remain connected.
Pull off switch light from behind.
Installation: Insert switch in arrest.

Loosen left instrument carrier mounting screws.

Loosen right instrument carrier mounting
screws.

Loosen screws on bracket for steering wheel
control.

Pull speedometer shaft.
Remove instrument carrier partially and detach
speedometer shaft.

Push down steering column casing upper section
far enough that instrument carrier can be taken
out at an angle.

Pull off central plug and remove instrument
carrier.

Disconnect battery ground lead.
Remove steering wheel 32 33 000.
Remove check control 62 14 070.
Unscrew screws.

Remove fog light switch.
Do not disconnect wires on fog light switch.
Installation:
Insert switch in arrest.

Lift off plate (1).

Unscrew screws.

Unscrew screws.
Place trim panel in footwell.

Unscrew screws.

Lift instrument carrier out of instrument panel.
Pull off all plugs.
Note:
First pull push control (1) out of combination plug (2) when pulling combination
plug off of instrument carrier.
