Hold piston with Special Tool 34 1 050. Place felt or hard wood plate in caliper recess. Press out piston with compressed air applied through connecting bore. Cover open piston bore with a sealing plate and insert a plug into connecting bore. Press out second piston with compressed air applied through bleeder bore. Important: Be careful, since 10 bar (140 psi) has a force of about 1250 N (275 lbs.). | |
Lift out seals with a plastic needle. | |
Important: Parts may be cleaned only with brake fluid or spirits. Dry with compressed air. Check cylinder bores and pistons for damage. Always replace damaged parts. Apply a light coat of ATE brake cylinder paste to cylinders and pistons to facilitate installation and protect against corrosion. Install piston in cylinder bore carefully. Don´t cant. | |
Check 20° position of piston with Special Tool 34 1 100. Correct with Special Tool 34 1 060 if necessary. 20° shoulder of piston faces brake disc inlet. |
