Vehicles before change point in 1982
CHECKING BOTH FRONT BRAKE DISCS FOR
RUNOUT AND DIFFERENCE IN THICKNESS
This requires specified wheel bearing play.
Remove and install front brake pads -
34 11 000.
Secure brake disc additionally with 2 bolts
M 12 x 1.5.
Attach Special Tool 34 1 250 and check brake
disc lateral runout with dial gauge.

Detach bracket at spring strut.
Detach front caliper and tie it up.
Important: Brake lines remain connected.
Measure difference in thickness¹) at about
8 points within braking surface with a
micrometer.
