Vehicles before change point in 1982
REPLACING FINAL MUFFLER
Remove muffler assembly 18 12 000.
Detach heat shield.
Cut through both pipes immediately next to
welding seam and deep enough that inner pipes
with final muffler can be pulled out.

Assemble primary and final mufflers, and install
assembly.
Don´t tighten bolts on traigular flanges.
Align muffler assembly with opening in tail panel.

Tack weld assembled pipes.
Remove muffler assembly and weld pipes all
around.
Install muffler assembly.
Mount heat shields and install exhaust pipe
extensions.
