REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING MUFFLER ASSY.
Detach heat shield.

Unscrew nuts on triangular flanges.
Installation: Check seals, replacing if necessary.
Replace self-locking nuts.
Tightening torque¹).

Detach holding rings at front of final muffler.

Detach holding rings at rear of final muffler.
Remove primary and final mufflers.
Installation: Check holding rings, replacing if
necessary.

Assemble primary and final mufflers, and install
assembly.
Don´t tighten bolts on triangular flanges.
Align muffler assembly with opening in tail panel.

Tack weld assembled pipes.
Remove muffler assembly and weld pipes all
around.
Install muffler assembly.
Transfer heat shields.
Install exhaust pipe extensions.
