REPLACING GUIDE BEARING IN CRANKSHAFT
- Clutch Removed -
a) Version with Needle Bearing:
Pull out needle bearing from crankshaft with
Special Tool 11 2 010.
Important: Apply special tool that pulling
hooks grab behind the needle bearing.

Installation: Install needle bearing that lettering
faces out.
Pack bore in crankshaft with approx. 1 gram of
brand name multi-purpose grease (drip point
180°C/356°F).
Knock in needle bearing with a suitable mandrel.
Keep distance A = 3 mm (0.120´´).

b) Version with Grooved Ball Bearing:
Pull out grooved ball bearing (1), cover (2),
felt ring (3) and end cap (4) from crankshaft
with Special Tool 11 2 010.
Installation: Pack bore in crankshaft with approx.
1 gram of brand name multi-purpose
grease (drip point 180°C/356°F).
Insert cover (2) with engraving facing out.

REPLACING PILOT BEARING
IN CRANKSHAFT
Remove clutch disc 21 21 000.
Pull out ball bearing with Special Tool 11 2 010.
Cars with Automatic Transmission:
Pull out adapter sleeve with Special Tool 11 2 020.

Ball bearing (1), cover (2), felt ring (3) and capsule (4).
Insert cover (2) with embossment facing out.

Drive in pilot bearing with Special Tools 11 2 030 and 00 5 500.
