Installation: Install needle bearing that lettering faces out. Pack bore in crankshaft with approx. 1 gram of brand name multi-purpose grease (drip point 180°C/356°F). Knock in needle bearing with a suitable mandrel. Keep distance A = 3 mm (0.120´´). | |
b) Version with Grooved Ball Bearing: Pull out grooved ball bearing (1), cover (2), felt ring (3) and end cap (4) from crankshaft with Special Tool 11 2 010. Installation: Pack bore in crankshaft with approx. 1 gram of brand name multi-purpose grease (drip point 180°C/356°F). Insert cover (2) with engraving facing out. | |

Installed Order: Ball bearing (1), cover (2), felt ring (3) and capsule (4). Insert cover (2) with embossment facing out. | |
Pack bore in crankshaft with approx. 1 gram of lubricating grease. Drive in pilot bearing with Special Tools 11 2 030 and 00 5 500. |
