REMOVING AND INSTALLING
FRONT SEAT RECLINING
MECHANISM
Remove and install front seat 52 10 000.
Detach lower strap.
Installation:
Tightening torque*.

Unscrew bolts on left and right sides.
Remove pieces of trim.

Unscrew bolt for backrest trim panel.
Installation:
Install bolts with escutcheons.

Unscrew bolts.
Pull off seat backrest unlocking knob.

Pull off backrest trim panel.
Installation:
Arrests must engage in backrest.

Cars without Electric Seat Operation:
Pry out lever (1) with a screwdriver.
Installation:
Engage lever (1) in pin (2) and connecting tube for left side.

Remove circlips (1) and unscrew bolts (2).
Remove reclining mechanism.
Installation:
Install bolts with Loctite Nr. 270.

Disconnect cable.

Cars with Electric Seat Operation:
Lift out circlips (1) and unscrew bolts (2).
Unscrew bolts (3) and take off transmission cover.

Pull off connecting shaft.
Lift out gear.

Installation:
Place axial bearing (1) in position with grease.
Insert gear (2) by turning.

Install drive worm (3) on drive shaft and insert in transmission case.
Collar of connecting shaft is in case.

Disconnect cable.
