ALIGNING ENGINE HOOD
Loosen mounting screws.

Align engine hood that there is an even
clearance all around.
Tighten engine hood hinges.

Adjust height at front of engine hood after
removing headlights.
Loosen hinge screws and align engine hood to
have it in same plane with side panels and
front panel.
Tighten hinge screws.

Loosen both engine hood locks.

Adjust height at rear of engine hood.
Engine hood must be closed and in same plane
with side panels and apron.
Tighten engine hood locks.

ALIGNING ENGINE HOOD
Adjusting Engine Hood Gap:
Loosen mounting bolts.

Adjust engine hood that gap is uniform on all
sides.
Tighten mounting bolts.

Adjusting Engine Hood Height at Front:
Remove left and right side radiator grill sections
51 13 040.
Loosen hinge bolts and adjust engine hood to be
in same plane with side panels and front panels.
Tighten hinge bolts.

Adjusting Engine Hood Height at Rear:
Loosen both engine hood locks.
Adjust engine hood height at rear that when
closed it is in same plane with side panels and
cowl panel.
Tighten engine hood locks.
