REPLACING FUEL FILTER
A) BMW 630 i:
Replace fuel filter at 30,000 km (18,000 mile)
intervals.
Remove fuel filter.
Installation: Note flow direction (IN - OUT).
Important: A seriously clogged filter could be
cause for failure, hesitation and insufficient
top speed.

Fuel Circuit:
1 Fuel tank
2 Fuel level transmitter
3 Fuel pump
4 Expansion tank
5 Fuel filter
6 Fuel ring line
7 Fuel pressure regulator
8 Injection valve
9 Collector
10 Cold start valve
11 Carbon filter
12 Reservoir

B) BMW 633 i:
Replace fuel filter at 12,500 mile (20,000 km)
intervals.
Pinch intake hose (8) with a clamp.
Open hose clamps (9 and 10) with pliers.
Loosen clamp (11) and remove filter.
Installation: Note direction of flow.

4 Fuel pump
5 Damper tank
6 Fuel filter
7 Supply line
8 Injection line
9 Fuel injectors
10 Cold start valve
11 Pressure regulator
12 Vacuum hose
