Vehicles after change point in 1982
BMW M 635 CSi:
Remove air cleaner with air flow sensor.
Unscrew bolts and take off the regulator carefully.

Check slip rings for wear, fine grinding and polishing if necessary.

Clean contact surfaces and check preload of the spring contact, correcting
if necessary.

Installation:
First mount the regulator with one bolt finger tight, then press it carefully into
final position and tighten the bolts.
Check acid level of battery after replacing the voltage regulator, correcting if necessary.
