Vehicles after change point in 1982
Engine S 38:
Remove air cleaner with air flow sensor.

Checking Drive Belt Tightness:
Apply Special Tool 11 5 020.
Pulling hook (2) must bear in middle of a tooth.
The tester needle must be in the scale above the green or yellow range.

Tightening Drive Belt:
Unscrew nut (1) and turn tensioning wheel (3) with a torque of approx. 7 Nm (5 ft. lbs.).
Tighten nut (1).
Recheck tightness with a tester, correcting if necessary.
