REPLACING OIL DIPSTICK GUIDE TUBE
Transfer clamp (1).
Drive guide tube into crankcase.
Keep to distance A = 220 ± 0.5 mm (8.661 ±
0.020´´).
Important: When checking oil level, grip of oil
dipstick must always face left as seen looking
forward. Non-conformance will mean an inaccurate
reading. In other words amount of engine
oil¹) will not be as specified.

Oil Dipstick for BMW 630, 633 CSi:
Grip painted yellow.
Distance A = 381 ± 0.5 mm (15.000 ± 0.020´´)
Distance B = 17 mm (0.669´´)

REPLACING GUIDE TUBE FOR
OIL DIPSTICK
Transfer clamp (1).
Install guide tube with Loctite No. 270** and drive in against stop.
Installation:
Eyelet grip of oil dipstick must always face left when looking forward in car
to check the oil level.
Non-conformance could cause incorrect readings, i.e. engine oil volume would not
be as specified*.
