REPLACING ONE CONNECTING ROD BUSHING

Connecting rods with machined small end bushings
can be ordered from the Parts Department.
Press out old bushing.
Installation: Press in new small end bushing that
its end gap is at 90° angle to oil bore.

Drill, clean and deburr oil bores.
Ream open small end bushing¹).
Piston pin must slide through small end bushing
under just slight pressure.

Check connecting rod for deviation from parallel
(A) and maximum permissible displacement
(B), and correct if necessary.
A = 150 _ 0.04 mm (5.905 _ 0.001´´)
